SIGMA works in organizing the EUNIS BI Conference 2014 Paris
SIGMA participated in the organization of the event EUNIS BI Conference, held in Paris on March, 6 and 7. The event attracted more than 60 people from 15 different countries, representing the political, academic and technical sector from different universities, and some staff from European University Education Consortia (AMUE, CINECA and SIGMA).
During these two days, the attendants to the Conference discussed interesting issues about the situation of the art Business Intelligence (BI) at the universities in talks, discussions, group work tables, etc. The two main speakers that participated in the Conference, Ora Fish (USA), former president of the Higher Education Data Warehouse Forum, and Stefano Rizzi (Italy), Director of the Business Intelligence Group at the University of Bologna, made an important contribution with their solid academic basis in the area and also their experience successfully implementing BI processes.
Case Study of BI university: Universidad de Zaragoza and SIGMA
In addition to its participation as member of the organization, SIGMA was also present in the Congress as participant, represented by Mr. Enrique Teruel, delegate for Rector of the Universidad de Zaragoza. Mr. Teruel speech, entitled "BI case of study: giving answers to the right questions in the Universidad de Zaragoza", explains the positive results of the BI process leaded by SIGMA implemented at this university that allowed the university to deploy its data analytics system to a potential audience of over 6,000 users.
