Since 2011 SIGMA has been working on the development of a Software as a Service. In late 2012, this service was implemented for the first time with several clients in Spain: Institut Químic de Sarrià, Fundació Pere Tarrés, Escuela Superior de Comercio Internacional, TecnoCampus (Escola Universitària del Maresme y Escola Superior de Ciències de la Salut); this permitted to take a turn on the SIGMA SIS solution model SaaS and improve the service to the community.
During this academic year 13/14, in July, the first enrollment in model SaaS took place, and to date, there are more than 2,077 students enrolled. Others academics processes such as pre- registration, pre- enrollment or record enquiry have also passed without incident.
