VIVO is an open source software which relies on a community and an ontology to represent academic activity. VIVO encourages viewing of academic history, research discovery, expert search, network analysis, and research impact evaluation.
On May 27, SIGMA led the first webinar for Spanish-speaking VIVO users with the objective of creating a space for exchange and collaboration for the community, which facilitates the implementation processes of the platform in the countries of the region.
The event was attended by more than 150 people, and the different possibilities offered by VIVO could be presented, as well as sharing experiences and facilitating their adoption in the community. The seminar included the introduction of Dr. Bruce Herbert, president of the group of VIVO leaders, and the presentation of the objectives and roadmap of the group, as well as the different initiatives that are already using or want to join VIVO.
