113.467 Smartphone application downloads have been recorded in SIGMA Universities
On December 2013 it is exceeded more than 100,000 downloads of mobile applications provided by SIGMA.
The first application of SIGMA Smartphone was created in May 2010, just less than 3 years ago. This first one was the application for the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid “Results Consultation”, which has had a great success reaching 17,504 downloads in this University, which represents 50 % of the students that have download it. This application, the first in Spain as a native app on iOS and Android, has also been introduced in other SIGMA universities as UAB, UC3M, UZ, UCO, UPF, UVA, UPNA, IQS and FPT, having been massively downloaded for a total of 95,000 times by users of all these universities.
SIGMA has also designed an application to access in an easy and immediate way to the results of the University Access examinations. This App, introduced in 2012 at UAM, UC3M and UPNA, has been very successful, reaching 12,500 downloads in its first campaign.
The last application brought to the market until now by SIGMA, which has been a big hit within its target audience, students and teachers, is the App PIZARRA, first at UVA and then in the UZ. The application is used to communicate the members of a classroom instantaneously between them, the groups of the application are created automatically and students do not need to provide any personal information. Since its introduction in 2013 the application has been downloaded by over 5,000 users.
On 2014 the App PIZARRA will be implemented in other SIGMA universities, adding new and interesting functionalities for teachers and students, in order to retain and grow the SIGMA Mobile community.
SIGMA provides other Apps with a minor stroke, but not less interesting, as the Car Pooling, to share the vehicle in the Campus, Convocalia App, for Helps Consultation for Research Projects, and FP Guide to query plans and FP Centers in any city.
