Opening of the 27th Annual EAIE Conference

SIGMA participates in the 27th edition of The Annual EAIE Conference, held this year in Glasgow

Today Tuesday 15th of September and until Friday 18th will take place the International Conference on Higher Education, the Europe’s largest in this sector. SIGMA is going to attend to the event, which is generating every time more international impact above the different areas of education, learning and administration.

With the title ‘’A Wealth of Nations’’ and honoring the philosopher and author Adam Smith, who studied in the city of Glasgow, the year’s conference will share some ideas and create discussion about the paper of community engagement and global public good in Higher Education. The conference will count with more than 200 showcases, 21 workshops, 152 sessions, 10 campus tours and 3 plenary sessions.

Some topics discussed during the event will be the following:


-    How are faculty, staff, and administrators engaged and supported in advancing the global public good?

-    What educational strategies prepare graduates to be globally competent citizens, able to act locally in a interdependent world?


-    What measures of accountability demonstrate institutional effectiveness in serving the public good, locally and internationally?
