Last March, has been published the fourth edition of the U-Ranking of Spanish universities, an initiative of Fundación BBVA and Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Económicas (Ivie) where are presented the results of the universities in teaching activities, research, innovation and technological development. The overall results of the U-Ranking are launched in two different formats: the U-Ranking, which classifies the universities regarding to performance and the U-Ranking Volumen which classifies according to its total volume of results.
In this fourth edition, it is worth to highlight that four SIGMA partners are among the six first positions. The Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) leads the list followed by Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB). Apart from these two universities, other partners that also appear on the top six are: Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in fifth position and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) in sixth.
To configure the indicators of this ranking, besides the three previously mentioned dimensions - teaching activities, research, innovation and technological development – it is also taken into account for each of them: access to resources, production, quality of results, resources and processes and internationalization of activities.
