EAIE 2017 Seville

Between September 12th and 15th the 2017 EAIE Annual Conference took place at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses of Seville. This year's edition counted on more than 6,000 professionals of the higher education at international level and with more than 200 exhibitors of all the world.

On Tuesday the 12th the commencement of the Congress was celebrated and began with the opening session "Introduction to higher education in Spain" and the subsequent reception for all the attendants was in Plaza España.

During the first day of the conferences, there were also workshops and campfires with experts in education around the nine main topics of the organization: admissions and accreditation, programs financed by Europe, leadership and strategy, learning, teaching and curriculum, marketing and recruitment, mobility, refugee networks and associations, and student experience.

On Wednesday the 13th  the inaugural event conference took place, which was attended by different authorities of the ministry, the Andalusian junta and the city of Seville. That same day, the official opening of the Exhibition Center was held, where several universities and industry institutions presented their projects with special representation shown to universities and clients of the SIGMA Community.

During the last two days, different sessions and conferences were held, such as the one conducted by STEFAN JAHNKE, VALÈRE MEUS and JOÃO PINTO, on the Erasmus Without Papers project and the need to digitize Erasmus. Throughout the presentation, the Spanish collaboration of SIGMA was highlighted in the first phase of the project. Likewise, the meeting ended Friday with new working sessions and a final plenary session. Undoubtedly the 29th edition was characterized by the presentation of different programs and projects, the 30th anniversary of ERASMUS + and the current context of the refugee crisis.
