Social networking, business intelligence, different working groups and the universities were the stars of the conference
On Thursday and Friday 20 and November 21, the CRUE-TIC conference took place at the University of Barcelona. The event, entitled "Social Networks, new relationships that influence IT Areas", there was a very active participation by staff of the universities were able to present experiences in areas such as graduate school of experts IT University of Castilla-La Mancha (which has the support of CRUE-TIC own), desktop virtualization work (VDI) or the knowledge network of the University of Deusto (Deusto knowledge HUB, DKH) .
Equally interesting were the special sessions of the different working groups of the sector, where each group progress had been made in the different fronts were discussed: Transparency and Open Government, eGovernment, ERP and Analysis and Planning.
Noted that one of the main conclusions of the conference was the need to harness the potential that give social networks to communicate and improve service in universities.
SIGMA collaborated providing a rapporteur of the European organization EUNIS "European University Information Systems", Elsa Cardoso, who spoke about the process of Business Intelligence in institutions of higher education. I also explained how EUNIS can provide help and support to universities in this process that can bring both strategic value to institutions, both public and private. Finally he presented the results of the "BI Maturity Survey" survey aims to collect the maturity stage of European universities in this area.
