More than 150 participants of 64 Spanish universities attended last 21st and 22nd of April to the sectoral meeting of the CRUE-TIC held in Universidad de Málaga and whose purpose was to analyze the technological perspective for the future university.
The first day of the meeting many relevant topics were discussed related to the TIC areas such as Digital Competencies (US), TIC professional profiles in the university (UMA), the unfolding of the catalogue of the TIC services in the university system (UJA) and the increasing significance of the TIC 360-CRM (UCM) vision.
It is worth highlighting the presentation made by Matija Puzar, of the University of Oslo, who presented the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) Project where SIGMA Gestión Universitaria actively participates alongside other European institutions to facilitate the student data exchange in electronic format.
The first day of the conferences came to an end with the Sectoral Assembly of the CRUE-TIC and the presentation of Lucía Escapa Castro, Deputy General Manager of Information Technology and Services of the Ministry of the Presidency about “Digital Tansformation, CIO and Administration”
On Friday, the day began with a workshop about Technological Strategies. Other topics were also addressed regarding to technologies that will make an impact in the learning process, Big Data (UAX) and energy efficiency through loT (UM). To conclude the meeting, a discussion board was held about technology and organization of the future university.
The CRUE-TIC was a very productive meeting for the attendees. The organization by Universidad de Málaga was spot on and allowed us to enjoy both the conferences and the city of Málaga.
