The mission of euroCRIS is to promote cooperation within and share knowledge among the research information community and interoperability of research information through CERIF, the Common European Research Information Format. Areas of interest also cover research databases, CRIS "Current Research Information Systems" related data like scientific datasets, (open access) institutional repositories, as well as data access and exchange mechanisms, standards and guidelines and best practice for CRIS.
This international meeting focused on the CRIS systems under the main claim "FAIRness of research information", in which knowledge could be shared among the community about trends and the use of CRIS systems through various examples and study cases.
The target audience includes research managers, research funders, evaluators, librarians, ICT experts, policy makers as well as CRIS users and developers in general.
Furthermore, at SIGMA we were able to present our consortium model and the work we are doing with the universities, as well as our SIGMA Research solution. We were also able to share our experience with research data analytics; how to visualize and analyse the data in the CRIS system through different phases (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive) and the different techniques that can be used to carry out a data analysis project.
With certainty, this meeting acted is an excellent forum to see how the implementation of CRIS systems is increasing and how it becomes mature into the institutions. This exchange of experiences opens the way to a new context of open science.
