Bencheit Taskforce Workshop
SIGMA has collaborated in organizing the event EUNIS Bencheit Taskforce Workshop, held on December 1 in Bologna. The event brought together a total of 43 people from 15 different countries, with representatives from political, academic and technical staff from different universities.
Bencheit is the first taskforce at European level with the main goal to create indicators that compare the efficiency of IT departments of universities. It began as a Finnish initiative supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland. Bencheit is an open platform, where each participating university or institute of higher education participating, can view all data on all other participants, but the commercial use of the data is prohibited.
In this edition of the taskforce, was attended by Leah Lang, (Core Data Service Manager) of EDUCAUSE presented indicators that allow comparison between estimates from different countries, the line through which the comparison is allowed.
Also note the presence of Antonio Fernández and Francisco Samplado, which accounted for UNIVERSITIC model is calculated each year with Spanish universities.
