Last Monday, May 9th, the Knowledge and Development Foundation (CYD Foundation (Spanish acronym for Conocimiento y Desarrollo)) presented in the National Library of Madrid the 3rd Edition of the RankingCYD, a project which goal is to give an answer to one of the priorities of the Spanish education system that is to provide more transparency of the Higher Education Institutions in our country
In this 3rd Edition the podium is taken by three universities from Barcelona with the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in first position, followed by the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) and Universitat de Barcelona (UB). It´s worth mentioning too, that apart from the UPF and UAB in first and second position, they also appear in a very high position other two SIGMA partners with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in fourth position and the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) in sixth.
A total of 66 universities have provided relevant data for the ranking, where 948 degrees of 13 different areas have been analyzed. The CYDFoundation has used more than 30 indicators from 5 main categories (Teaching and learning, Research, Transfer of Knowledge, International Outlook and Contribution to the Regional Development). The CYDRanking is the Spanish ranking with the greatest number of universities (66) and with the largest number of indicators analyzed (34).
