SIGMA Open Analytics is the Business Analytics (BA) solution that provides a powerful analytics system, ensuring the integration with other information systems used by the university. The tool enhances the institutional governance, transfers data into knowledge, gives more autonomy in the decision making process and allows to obtain reliable answers and transparency of results.
Thanks to the use by SIGMA of Open Technology platforms such as Pentaho BA, it has been possible to reduce the implementation costs of the solution
University of Zaragoza and SIGMA teamed up on this project. Some of the advantages of this partnership were the data integration with the institution resources (Academic, R+D+I, Human Resources, Teaching,…), the free access for the PAS and PDI community or the user´s autonomy to make his or her own requests
The solution is available on Cloud, a multi-tenancy platform with Public and Private Service levels, covering the maintenance, platform support and updating needs. With SaaS, the solution offers online analytics for student’s admission, vacancies offered, enrolment, performance, student drop-out and graduation. It also allows making adhoc reports for each institution.
